Smalls Jazz Club has been serving the jazz community since 1994 as a performance space and hub for jazz musicians. Internationally renowned as a hothouse, multi-generations of jazz musicians have cut their teeth at Smalls at the late-nite jam sessions. Smalls is still passionately dedicated to presenting as many great New York jazz artists as possible. With more than three bands a night, more than 1000 bands per year, all of these shows are scrupulously documented in the SmallsLIVE Audio/Video Archive. This archive, which extends back to 2007, is available for free use on this website.

It is an intimate performance space with a unique acoustic character. The very greatest pianists world-wide have performed on this exquisite Steinway A. Mezzrow also presents an array of professional vocalists and guitarists in this sympathetic acoustical salon.
